I finally got some free time to briefly write my impressions on the convincing win at Stadio Friulli against Udinese. Considering the fact that Rossi had to do without Cribari and especially Mutarelli and Mudingayi who have both been outstanding throughout the season, we all thought that the match against Udinese would be the toughest one of the last 5-6 matches.
Howevere, the ragazzi`s showed that they take each match seriously and that rule applied here as well. Lazio took the lead after Ledesma`s cross that found Stendardo who headed the ball past De Sanctis. Nothing important happened in the first half, Lazio held the lead comfortably while Udinese failed to undertake anything that would jeopardize Lazio`s lead.
Early in the second half we closed the match, because we scored twice in 2 minutes through Mauri first and Behrami immeditaly after. Rocchi was the assist man in both occasions. Udinese only managed to get a penalty after Zauri played with a hand while Rocchi replied a minute later with a penalty kick. Pandev missed the chance of the match and Udinese only managed to score in the 93rd minute.
Men of the match were Valon Behrami and Tomasso Rocchi. The former for running, tackling, winning fouls and finally scoring while the latter for scoring, assisting and overall having a very smart match.
